Dear Past, Present or Future Choir Member,

As most of you know, Metropolitan Community Church holds a Christmas Eve service at Roy Thomson Hall every year.  We are hoping that you will consider joining or re-joining us this year. In 2011, The Christmas Choir was comprised of 95 singers and we would love to see as many, if not more, this year.

This is a great opportunity to participate in an event that has become a tradition in Toronto.  We are planning some very exciting music this year, and will be joined by special guests Alana Bridgewater and Sterling Jarvis.

There will be five (5) three hour rehearsals dedicated to Christmas Eve Music – a total of 15 hours. All rehearsals are at Metropolitan Community Church, 115 Simpson Ave. (main intersection:  Gerrard and Logan).

These rehearsals are as follows:

Thursday Nov. 22nd from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. (Registration)
Thursday Nov. 29 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday Dec. 8th from 9:00 am to noon
Thursday Dec. 20th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday Dec. 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The service:
Monday Dec. 24th from approximately 5 p.m. to midnight (Roy Thomson Hall).  Dinner is provided.

Registration:  Thursday Nov. 22nd between 6:30 and 7 p.m.

If you have not sung with the choir before it will be necessary to have a brief vocal assessment after the first rehearsal.  You will be provided with a binder and music.  Please bring water, a pencil and a handheld recording device (if you have one) to every rehearsal.  Singers must attend all rehearsals, exceptions at the discretion of the Music Director or Assistant Music Director.  Attendance will be taken at each rehearsal.

We hope that you will find time in your busy schedule to indulge yourself in one of the most meaningful parts of Christmas; that of making music and enjoying the fellowship of others.
Please contact Patti Gray at Christmas@mcctorontochoir.com  if you have questions.

We look forward to seeing you.

Regards,

Diane Leah
Director of Music
Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto
