Choir Kudos

Absolutely soulful and splendid was the music at Jack Layton’s ‘Celebration of Life’. ‘Kyrie’ was wonderful. ‘Get Together’ with Julie Michels and the choir gave me goosebumps. I cannot get your rendition of this 60′s anthem out of my head. I fall asleep with it and wake up with it. I sing it aloud sometimes. The songs message is the same as it was when I was 14, in ’69, it just evokes different feelings and a better understanding from my 56 year old mind. The total choice of music and its rendering at Jack’s service was soulful, thought provoking, sometimes light hearted and always moving. What a tribute to a great Canadian. — Doreen Mason
