House of Love

The Choir’s debut CD, “House of Love” was recorded in 2003 and features guest artists: Louise Pitre,Mark Cassius, Mary McCandless, Julie Michels, Alana Bridgewater, and Maria Piazza.

Featured Artists

The artists featured on House of Love gave generously of their time and their talents to this project. The choir thanks them for sharing, so selflessly.

Louise Pitre

Louise is best known for her Tony Award nominated role in broadway’s hit Mamma Mia! Louise generously lent her writing and vocal talents to the cd by co-writing and singing the title track House of Love.

Mark Cassius

Mark is best known for his work in the highly acclaimed vocal group The Nylons. Mark’s energy and charisma shine in his outstanding vocal performance of Holy Ground.

Mary McCandless

Mary is best known for her roles in such Tony Award winning musicals as Showboat & Ragtime. Mary’s wonderful rendition of Climb Ev’ry Mountain shows off her unique and refreshing vocal style.

Alana Bridgewater

Alana’s Jazz/Soul vocals are unmistakably rich and earthy. She is known for her roles in musical theatre, including Smokey Joe’s Cafe, and Little Shop Of Horrors. Alana enriches and touches the soul with her rendition of the powerful Sound Over All Waters.

Julie Michels

Julie is a staple in the Toronto Jazz scene. She can be heard at clubs across the city serving up her edgy jazz stylings. O Happy Day is made unique again as Julie showcases her gutsy vocals and huge talent.

Maria Piazza

Maria is known by many in the Opera and Classical music scenes. Her voice is unmistakable. Maria’s vocal talent is not to be missed in her outstanding Operatic version of O Holy Night.
